Greenskies Renewable Energy has signed an agreement to build a 339 kilowatt (DC) solar array on the roof of The Whelen Engineering Co. Inc.’s main facility in Chester, Conn.

Greenskies Renewable Energy has started to build a 2-megawatt solar array that will be assembled on a capped landfill in West Boylston, Mass.

Greenskies Renewable Energy was honored Thursday for its inclusion on the 2016 Marcum Tech Top 40, a list of the 40 fastest-growing technology companies in Connecticut.

Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC, a Middletown-based solar energy company, is pairing up with the Connecticut State Golf Association, or CSGA, to explore the possibility of bringing green, low-cost solar energy to Connecticut’s public and private golf courses.

Solar installations designed and built by Greenskies Renewable Energy, a Middletown-based solar energy company, have now produced more than 10 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity.

Construction began this month on a solar photovoltaic project that will become one of the largest solar projects in New England upon its completion.

Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC, a Middletown solar energy company, had an .890 batting average during Connecticut’s latest Zero Emission Renewable Energy Credit, or ZREC, auction, as  32 of the 36 solar energy projects the company submitted were approved by the state’s two utility companies by being amongst the lowest-cost solar projects. All told, the 32 winning projects will produce a collective total of 12.4 megawatts of cheap solar energy, said Michael Silvestrini, Greenskies’ president and co-founder.

Solar installations designed and built by Greenskies Renewable Energy, a Middletown-based solar energy company, have now produced more than 5 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity.

Solar projects designed and built by Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC achieved 112 percent of their estimated electrical production in April, the company has confirmed.
