Project Funding Analyst

Summary

Project Funding Analyst supports the execution of funding activities for solar projects. Work cross-functionally with multiple departments in connection with funding activities, from the initial creation of construction loan facilities to permanent debt financing after project completion. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a passion for renewable energy and financing facilities and strong organizational skills.

Location(s): North Haven, CT

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Create project budgets, calculate project funding amounts and prepare funding packages pursuant to financing agreements.
  • Provide support to ensure conditions precedent and closing conditions for financing are met, including interconnection and permitting
  • Provide support on due diligence questions from financing parties
  • Populate and maintain data rooms for third parties
  • Work with legal department to draft and review project documents
  • Provide support on the execution of required third-party documentation including but not limited to consents, notices, acknowledgements, contract amendments, land record filings
  • Provide support for creation and execution of internal agreements including but not limited to assignment, operating, equipment procurement, asset purchase, construction, and maintenance agreements
  • Provide support for deliverables from third-party partners including but not limited to independent engineers, insurance and environmental consultants, title insurance companies, surveyors
  • Gain an understanding of solar incentives- understand the various REC/incentive programs and associated requirements, complete registration process, file for extensions when needed
  • Participate in conference calls with finance partners and internal teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in related field. Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience preferable, recent graduates will be considered
  • Interest in renewal energy is required; experience in renewable energy is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
