FP&A Manager

Summary

As an FP&A Manager in Greenskies Finance team, you will be partnered with our Project Finance/Asset Management/Accounting/EPC Managers to identify operating and financial information and datasets to improve Greenskies short-term and long-term modeling and financial reporting. You will perform in-depth financial analysis while developing and maintaining various financial models. This position focuses on analyzing financial data, preparing forecasts, and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making for solar projects and operations.

Location(s): North Haven, CT (in-person)

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow and profit & loss (P&L) forecasts.
  • Develop annual budgets and long-term strategic financial forecasts.
  • Conduct variance and trend analysis to interpret differences between budgeted and actual results.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses on key business assumptions (e.g., energy pricing, tax incentives, interest rates).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and develop insights into decision-making.
  • Assist in driving strategic financial initiatives.
  • Support investment decisions and internal financial reviews through detailed analysis.
  • Leverage SAP and Power BI to manage financial data and automate reporting processes.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of solar financing mechanisms including PPAs, ITCs, and tax equity.
  • Stay informed on relevant federal and state regulations and incentives impacting solar development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in FP&A or a similar financial analysis role.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including use of financial functions, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with SAP and Power BI.
  • Proven financial modeling experience and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with solar financing structures, tax credits and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
