Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Duties:
In partnership with our Asset Management/Accounting Manager, identify operating and financial information and datasets to improve Greenskies' modeling, financial reporting, and accounting. Perform in-depth financial analysis while maintaining various databases and financial models. Track the operating and financial performance of numerous Solar projects.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Finance/Accounting Manager in achieving departmental objectives and ensuring operating assets are performing at peak performance.
- Preparing and presenting reports, including Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
- Compiling and reviewing monthly operating reports, providing detailed variance analysis against financial models.
- Supporting the annual audit.
- Assisting in developing and refining asset performance tracking and reporting.
- Staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with the Operations & Maintenance team to negotiate vendor and service provider contracts to optimize operating expenses and improve service quality.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or a related Field and 4 months experience as a financial analyst.
Experience or skills must include:
- Demonstrated strength in Data Analysis Tools: Python SQL or R
- Financial Modeling experience
- Financial Auditing experience
- Quantitative policy analysis experience
