Greenskies Clean Focus is funding rooftop solar at seven schools and the District Administration Building for the Piscataway Township Schools in New Jersey — at no upfront cost to the district thanks to a 15-year solar power purchase agreement (solar PPA). In total, the Greenskies portfolio in Piscataway is 1.67 MW (3,700 solar panels).

Piscataway Township Schools partnered with Greenskies Clean Focus, a renewable energy solutions provider, to install a 1.67-MW rooftop solar portfolio in New Jersey. Greenskies installed over 3,700 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at seven schools and the District Administration Building.

A search for vendors landed on Greenskies Clean Energy LLC, which will install the system. “We’re not spending money to have it installed,” Shipley explained. Adelphi has a 20-year contract to purchase the power generated by the system at a discount from PSEG. “That’s how we will garner $20,000 in savings a year,” he said.
