Business Development Support Associate

Summary

The Business Development (BD) Support Associate will assist the business development team in the origination of solar development opportunities with commercial and public sector clients across the United States. The BD Support Associate will support the business development team by working collaboratively across the entire organization in order to prepare client proposals, responses to requests for proposals, and client-facing financial analysis. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Business Development.

Location: New York, NY (in-office)


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend virtual and in-person consultation appointments with prospective customers.
  • Gather and consolidate customer and facility information required by internal engineering and finance teams to build and price solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal finance, engineering, construction, and legal teams to develop client proposals, responses to requests for proposals, and client-facing financial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS or BA degree in related fields, preferably engineering or finance.
  • One to two years of relevant experience or internships.
  • Experience in renewable energy is preferred but not required.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate complex technical and financial information—strong financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Professional, self-disciplined, and honest.
