Greenskies Appoints Dan O’Brien as Chief Commercial Officer

Greenskies Clean Focus (“Greenskies”), a national leader in commercial renewable energy development, announced the appointment of Dan O’Brien as Chief Commercial Officer. O’Brien joins the North Haven, CT-based company to lead commercial strategy and drive growth as Greenskies expands its footprint in existing markets and pursues business opportunities across the U.S.

The appointment comes as Greenskies continues to scale its commercial and industrial solar platform, serving corporations, commercial real estate owners, landowners, and public sector entities seeking reliable, cost-effective renewable energy solutions that deliver energy cost savings or additional revenue opportunities.

“Dan brings the commercial experience, market perspective, and customer focus as we continue to grow in various markets,” said Vijay Singh, CEO of Greenskies Clean Focus. “His background across real estate and renewable energy gives him a strong understanding of how to create value for customers while supporting disciplined business growth. Dan will play an important role in shaping a more holistic business development as we expand our presence in key markets.”

O’Brien brings nearly two decades of renewable energy experience, with a career spanning commercial strategy, customer origination, project development, and operations. He has contributed to more than 500 megawatts of on-site and off-site solar projects and has held leadership roles across companies ranging from early-stage ventures to established national platforms.

Most recently, O’Brien served as Chief Commercial Officer at DSD Renewables, where he helped shape enterprise-wide commercial strategy during a period of significant growth. Over eight years with the company, he advanced through multiple leadership roles, building customer relationships, evaluating market opportunities, and scaling commercial teams.

His early career in commercial real estate continues to inform his approach to solar development, bringing an asset-owner perspective focused on long-term value, customer alignment, and disciplined execution.

“Greenskies has built a strong platform around ownership, execution, and long-term customer value,” O’Brien said. “I’m excited to join the team at a moment when commercial solar continues to present meaningful opportunities. I look forward to helping strengthen our market strategy, deepening customer partnerships, and supporting thoughtful growth across the markets we serve.”
