Senior Accountant

Summary
Contribute to the renewable energy transition by helping drive investment decisions to build new solar projects. Work closely with multiple departments to integrate technical, financial and market information into actionable financial models. Work on a diverse range of contract types, across multiple-state markets.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Build, track, and update financial models for rooftop, carport, ground-mount, and hybrid systems for BTM (behind-the-meter), FTM (front-of-meter), or community solar projects.
- Assist in the development of client-facing financial offerings: PPA (power purchase agreements), leases, land purchase agreements, revenue sharing, portfolio acquisitions, and hybrid offerings.
- Present analysis, strategy, risk, and investment recommendations to senior leadership, including CEO.
- Assist with the consolidation, detailed review, and organization of project-level information from various internal and external groups.
- Ongoing development, and functional understanding of financing structures, changing REC and incentive programs across multiple state markets.
- Review legal and project documents including PPAs, leases, RFPs, funding, and layouts.
- Support investment committee (IC) materials and RFP response modeling, ensuring pricing, sensitivities, and risk analysis align with deal strategy.
- Maintain workflow discipline and QA through structured use of Planner, Teams, and validation checklists.
- Build exposure to capital markets and funding as part of the role’s growth path, expanding expertise beyond the core responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 0-2+ Years of relevant experience, including working with accounting, energy industry, finance, real estate investment, consulting, or project management: Analyst, 0-2 years, Associate, 2+ years.
- For Associate, experience in renewable energy is required. Experience structuring tax equity transactions is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Writing-convert complex analyses into crisp tables/memos for exec review.
- Excel: DCF, NPV, and IRR.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High degree of accountability. Approaches deadlines and commitments with reliability, focus, and timely execution.
- Preference for candidates with experience evaluating and/or modeling battery energy storage systems (BESS), including storage economics, incentive programs, and standalone or solar-plus-storage projects.
- Preference for candidates with experience in community solar development and finance.
