Greenskies is an industry leader of commercial and industrial solar development in the U.S. with a diverse client base including Fortune 50 companies and investment-grade commercial off-takers, industrial and municipal clients. Greenskies is looking to cultivate further growth in New York by hiring additional sales support for our Regional Business Development team. This position will initially service an existing client audience located in New York and may be adjusted to support future Regional or National Business Development strategies. The Business Development Manager is focused on client identification and new lead generation for customers looking for energy diversification strategies, sustainable sourcing, and energy expense management. The Business Development Manager will develop market expertise regarding the drivers of solar development for territories they may be assigned including but not limited to utility regulatory conditions and tariffs, prevailing energy pricing, incentives, tax benefits and state RPS or other renewable energy policy. The Business Development Manager will lead the process of developing customer proposals for solar, either individual proposals or multi-site proposals via RFPs, in concert with the Finance, Analytic & Design, Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams. The Business Development Manager may be tasked with leading client relations with existing national customer relationships and utilizing those relationships expand into new markets. The Business Development Manager will offer a range of solar products such as PPAs (investment-grade only at the moment), Solar Leases and SIAs as well as identifying new transactional structures that clients may be looking for and working with Greenskies’ Finance team to develop those offerings.
