Logistics Specialist

Summary

Greenskies is looking for a Logistics Specialist. The role encompasses inventory management, project support, and warehouse communication. The successful candidate will thrive in a team setting and interact with project management, engineering, asset management, operations & maintenance, and external vendors or contractors. The Logistics Specialist reports directly to the Director of Procurement.

Location: North Haven, Connecticut (hybrid)


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and warehouses.
  • Communicate with 3rd party warehouses, and freight brokers
  • Review inventory reservations daily, adjust as necessary
  • Analyze and manage inventory using SAP
  • Audit and reconcile inventory
  • Provide project support where needed
  • Assist Procurement in analyzing warehouses
  • Verify the accuracy and condition of all materials delivered
  • Receive and dispatch inventory to and from warehouse

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of Warehousing and/or Logistics experience
  • Must have ERP experience. SAP preferred
  • Must have basic Excel skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have good problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with basic warehouse equipment i.e., pallet jack, forklift, etc.
