Junior Logistics Specialist

Summary

Greenskies is looking for a Jr. Logistics Specialist. The role encompasses inventory management, project support, and warehouse communication. The successful candidate will thrive in a team setting and will interact with project management, engineering, asset management, operations & maintenance, and external vendors or contractors. The Jr. Logistics Specialist reports directly to the Director of Procurement.

Location: North Haven, Connecticut (on-site)


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Senior Logistics Specialist to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and warehouses.
  • Primary contact for new California warehouse/s. Communicate with 3rd party warehouses and freight brokers.
  • Make material reservations in Helios/SAP.
  • Provide project support as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy and condition of all materials delivered.
  • Receive and dispatch inventory to and from the warehouse.
  • Track/Record pallet ID’s and record serial numbers.
  • Report qty’s received to PO creator to ensure correct.
  • Create goods issue receipt in SAP for all deliveries.
  • Ensure excess modules are returned from project sites.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of Warehousing, Logistics, or similar experience is preferred.
  • Previous ERP, WMS experience. SAP desired.
  • Must have basic Excel skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with basic warehouse equipment i.e., pallet jack, forklift, etc.
