IT Manager – Applications & Operations

Summary

Greenskies Information Technology platform is vital to its continued growth as a leader in US commercial solar. As the IT Team Lead, you will be responsible for the daily management of Greenskies’ IT operations with your team of direct reports. You will partner with the SVP of Operations to understand and achieve the corporate goals. This includes leading the procurement and design of all enterprise software, IT infrastructure, and desktops. To be successful, you must effectively identify, delegate, and continuously prioritize your team’s tasks by balancing the critical day-to-day operational needs with the strategic future state vision of Greenskies’ IT solutions. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated to improve Greenskies’ software platform, including custom and third-party applications, through a focus on business-oriented problem solving. Ultimately, you will be measured on the delivery of business-critical IT projects while managing within the department budget. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead key cross-departmental IT projects and solutions to support company initiatives.
  • Monitor IT project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
  • Align team goals with company goals during quarterly and annual planning.
  • Develop a roadmap for the future state vision of Greenskies’ IT solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Research and evaluate industry software and technologies to drive vendor selection.
  • Lead the design and architecture of custom software and integrations.
  • Analyze department needs to boost efficiency and inform business decisions.
  • Lead a distributed IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees including communicating expectations and appraising their performance.
  • Manage quality of deliverables produced by the IT team.
  • Run team planning by setting priorities, removing roadblocks, and driving output.
  • Ensure timely enterprise IT support with use of Helpdesk management software.
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including laptops, networking, and security tools.
  • Manage the IT team’s annual budget and report on quarterly spend.
  • Track department deliverables and regularly reporting progress to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 1 or more years mentoring or leading an IT team.
  • Experience configuring or designing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP ERP.
  • Expertise in IT project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing a custom software platform preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
