Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC, a Middletown-based solar energy company, said today it expects to complete the installation of five photovoltaic solar projects at five different Connecticut landfills by the end of the year.

Connecticut company, Greenskies Renewable Energy, has been named as one of the top ten solar power developers in the U.S. by Solar Power World, a publication and website focused on the energy industry.

Middletown's Greenskies Renewable Energy, which was recently ranked in the top 10 most prolific solar developers in the country, said its combined installations have generated more than 100 million kilowatt hours of electricity as of this month.

Trumbull schools are about to get a lot greener beginning next fall. Greenskies Renewable Energy, one of the nation’s top 10 solar developers, announced last week that it has signed an agreement to design and build rooftop solar arrays on five schools in town.
